Your recipes stay yours.
Dishkeep is a recipe keeper for iPhone. It has no account and no recipe server: your cookbook lives on your device. This policy explains the few cases where information leaves your iPhone, and only when you ask for it.
1. Your cookbook stays on your iPhone
Recipes, photos you add, notes, ratings, meal plans, grocery lists and settings are stored on your device. They are shared with Dishkeep's share extension and widgets on the same iPhone so those features work. We do not run a recipe server and cannot see your cookbook. Operating-system backups handle app data under Apple's terms. Deleting the app deletes its data from the device.
2. Importing a recipe
When you import a link, your iPhone opens that page (for example TikTok, Instagram or a recipe website) to read the recipe, the same way a browser would. Those sites receive the request under their own privacy policies.
When you import a screenshot or photo, the text is read on your iPhone. Photos and screenshots are never uploaded.
3. Organising with cloud AI (optional)
Before the first import that could use it, Dishkeep asks whether to organise recipes with cloud AI. If you agree, the recipe text (never photos) is sent to our Cloudflare Worker, which passes it to an AI model hosted on Microsoft Azure to sort out ingredients, amounts and steps. The same service may be used, when you ask, to estimate calories or to translate a recipe. Microsoft does not use this text to train models.
We don't keep the text you send. To protect the service, the Worker uses your IP address briefly to apply per-IP request limits; it does not save recipe text with it. You can turn cloud AI off at any time in Settings → Imports. Without it, Dishkeep organises recipes on your iPhone, which can be less accurate.
4. Camera and Photos
With your permission, Dishkeep uses the camera to photograph a recipe card, a cookbook page or a dish you cooked, and lets you pick a screenshot or photo from your library. Only the items you choose are read, and they stay on your device.
5. Sharing a recipe
You can share a recipe as an image, a PDF or a link through the iOS share sheet. Images and PDFs are made on your iPhone. A link either carries the recipe inside the link itself, or, for a short link, a copy of the recipe is stored on our Cloudflare server under a random ID so the link can open it. Anyone with a link can view that recipe. Short-link copies are kept until you ask us to remove them; email us the link. We cannot recall copies already sent through other services.
6. Timers and reminders
Cooking timers, Live Activities and meal reminders are scheduled on your device with notifications you allow. They do not go through our servers.
7. Purchases
Apple handles purchases and their verification. Dishkeep reads your purchase status to unlock Pro features. We never receive payment card details.
8. Feedback
If you send feedback by email or through the feedback form, we receive what you write and the email address you give. Web feedback is handled as described in the website privacy notice. We use it only to answer you and improve Dishkeep.
9. No ads, analytics or tracking
Dishkeep has no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs and no cross-app tracking. We don't sell or rent information. Service providers: Cloudflare (hosting and the import service; privacy policy), Microsoft Azure (AI model; privacy statement) and Apple (purchases and system services; privacy policy).
10. Children
Dishkeep is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Dishkeep changes; the effective date above will change with it. Questions or deletion requests: pandafeeeder@gmail.com. For help with the app, see Support.
